I am drawn to places with water when it comes to spending time in nature. The ocean, bays, lakes, creeks, ponds – I love to photograph these places. I am not exactly sure why. Perhaps it’s the colour, the movement and sound, the way it changes, its reflections or the way it interacts with light. It excites me. There just seems to be ‘so many possibilities’ with water, specifically with a camera in hand. In the dull of winter (or a very late spring), it’s where I find life when there is none around me.
